In short
- This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies today.
- It saves two settings in your browser: sound on or off, and the email you last used to download a file.
- If we add analytics or ad tracking, we’ll ask first where the law requires it and list it here.
What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files a website saves on your device. Local storage does the same job in a different part of your browser. Both let a site remember something between visits, like a setting you chose.
What we use today
- Sound setting (hy-sound)
- Local storage. Remembers whether you turned the site’s sound on or off. Kept until you clear it.
- Download email (hy-library-email)
- Local storage. Remembers the email you last used for a library download, so the next one is one click. Saved only after you download; kept until you clear it.
- Security cookies from Cloudflare
- Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary cookie, such as __cf_bm, to tell people from bots. It lasts about 30 minutes. [Confirm against the live Cloudflare settings at launch.]
None of these follow you to other websites, and none are used for advertising.
What we might add later
We may add tools that use cookies: analytics to see which pages help, ad pixels from Meta or Google to measure our own ads, or a booking widget from [Cal.com]. Before we add any that need your consent, we’ll show a banner and set them only if you agree, and this page will list each one.
Managing and clearing them
You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser’s settings. The site works without them; you’ll just need to set the sound again or retype your email.
Changes to this policy
When we change what the site stores, we update this page and the date at the top.
